I like the combination of red and blue or green for health sites. It gives cool effect to the eyes that you wanted to stay and look around.

Totally agree, Korey. Sites with overwhelming color can be hard to read. I don’t like to be assaulted by color either.

That’s a great point, Soju. It seems like many companies who are trying for mass appeal (like Chase or Mac) stick with the “safer” colors.

Overall site color should also depend as to what type of website visitors the website is catering to. For example, like the generic website facebook… it caters to everyone so basically, basic colors are more enticing to all users. On a more business sided website, I think more professional colors are needed. Including all the font sizes.

I love websites that have really appealing color. plain, simple but enticing at the same time. I hate to visit sites that are so painful to the eyes. I think the website color really gives an appealing impact to the overall performance of a website.

We're big fans of green, if it's the right green. Mostly though, I think a site's colors need to reflect their branding. People don't really want acid green and orange as a color for a retirement home, but they work for a natural market, especially when paired with a neutral.
