Facebook App – Vpype

Facebook VideoThere’s a pretty new Facebook app out that there let’s you stream LIVE video direct from your Facebook profile or fan page.

Vpype is a free (yep, free) video streaming application for Facebook.

Tell Them What They’ve Won
Vpype allows you to do all sorts of awesome things like:

  • Schedule regular shows
  • Broadcast live anytime
  • Broadcast as yourself or broadcast as your fan page
  • Select specific friends to broadcast to (like private conferencing)
  • Archive your shows
  • Embed any show
  • Browse through your Facebook friends’ show recordings

The app displays on your page as a tab called “Shows.” It’s a great addition to all the other marketing you’re doing with Facebook.

But, What About Me?
So, how can you use this for your business?

If you own a restaurant or catering service, you could do a cooking demonstration. If you own a print shop, you could show products going down the production line. If you’re an artist or musician, you could show how you create a masterpiece or a jam session. This could be a great weekly feature to show off your expertise.

Lots of people could take advantage of this for showing tips and tutorials like:

The private viewing features could also be a way for businesses with employees that work remotely to do conferences. Or, for you to personally connect with clients. There really are loads of ways to make this work for your business.

If you’re looking to develop other tabs for your Facebook, but aren’t sure how to market your small business or get started, Alphabetix is here to help.
