Designers find inspiration all over the place, whether it’s through beautiful images, a great color palate, or the eloquent words of a legendary poet.
Today, our inspiration comes from the latter. The late, great Shel Silverstein is known for his sense of humor, and in a world where many people take themselves a bit too seriously, a little Silverstein can go a long way.
These are the words that inspire us to keep a sense of humor in our design:
Put Something In
Draw a crazy picture,
Write a nutty poem,
Sing a mumble-grumble song,
Whistle through your comb.
Do a loony-goony dance,
‘Cross the kitchen floor,
Put something silly in the world,
That ain’t been there before.
When we are spending hours staring at code, a little humorous inspiration goes a long way.
Barefeet and guitar are optional.
