Who are these folks that stick square pegs into round holes and call themselves experts.
Okay, we don’t want to get too negative, but seriously, there are a lot of folks out there peddling SEO plans that give you peanuts for your hard earned dollars. Here are a three examples of what I mean by inept SEO offerings.
Meta Tags
Meta tags, meta tags, meta tags everywhere, but not a drop to drink! We know the importance of meta tags when designing web pages, but some inept SEO experts think this is an end all and magic bullet for all your SEO needs.
Seriously? If you SEO is stalling your on meta tags, and all they can speak to about SEO is meta tags, perhaps you might want to find someone else. Having quality meta tags is important so that the TITLE and DESCRIPTION tags look top notch in the SERP’s (Search Engine Results Page), but meta tags are not an SEO end all.
SEO Friendly Page Names
This would seem to be a no-brainer, but some web designers can’t get past dynamically generated web pages like:
- www.burned.com/showsetting.aspx?Show=102
Again, having SEO friendly page names is a good thing, but surely not an SEO end all. Every website Alphabetix develops includes SEO friendly page names and of course we can fix your page name woes as well.
Installation of Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a powerful and FREE tool for monitoring website traffic and marketing effectiveness. You get these cool numbers, references to pages to which people entered and exited your website, and of course bar graphs. Who doesn’t like bar graphs?
The problems is that people hear about Google Analytics, get Analytics installed, and then expect that their SEO problems have been fixed, which any competent SEO firm would tell you that you have to know how to process and extrapolate this data and implement solutions to your website that will give you the results you need.
What’s Next
Luckily, Alphabetix specializes in a full range of SEO solutions that will fit your individual need. What your website needs with regards to SEO will probably be different than what the next guy needs.
Every website is different and has different paths to their ultimate success. We can get you there!
